You Don’t Need a Perfect Dog. You Need a Dog You Can Enjoy Life With.

You probably didn’t start looking for a dog trainer because you wanted your dog to learn a longer list of commands.

You reached out because there are things you’d like to be different.

If training worked exactly the way you hoped it would, what would life with your dog look like six months from now? What would you be able to do together? What would feel different? What would become easier?

That answer matters to me far more than whether your dog can sit for a treat.

Training That Works in Real Life

My goal isn’t simply to teach your dog commands. It’s to help you build a better team with your dog — one that works together in everyday life.

That’s the foundation of my TEAM Building System:

T — Tailored Training
Training based on the individual dog, owner, situation, and goals.

E — Educate
We teach you and your dog the skills, communication, and techniques needed for long-term success.

A — Applied in Real Life
We take training beyond the training environment and apply it where you actually need it.

M — Make It Your Lifestyle
Training becomes part of everyday life so the results continue long after your program ends.

We're Both Part of the Team

I can teach your dog. I can teach you. I can give you the tools, structure, coaching, and support you need.

But I can’t do your part for you.

I love working with clients who are committed to making meaningful changes with their dog, open to learning new ways of doing things, and ready to consistently apply what we teach.

You don’t need to know anything about dog training before we start. That’s my job.

What I need from you is commitment, openness, and consistent follow-through.

How I Train

My training incorporates affection, praise, and rewards along with clear expectations, structure, boundaries, and accountability.

I recommend the training approach and tools I believe are appropriate for the individual dog, owner, situation, and goals. That may include slip leads, prong collars, or remote collars when appropriate.

If you’re specifically looking for a reward-only or purely positive training approach, we’re probably not the right fit — and that’s okay.

I’d rather you know that before we talk than discover later that our philosophies don’t align.

Before Our Call

To help me prepare for our conversation, please complete the short questionnaire below before your scheduled phone consultation.

Your answers will help me understand more about you, your dog, and your approach to training before we talk.

When we speak, we’ll dig deeper into what’s going on and what you’d like to accomplish.

If I believe I can help, I’ll explain what I recommend and why. If it sounds like I can help, we can go from there.
